When creating this diploma the main assumption was to create something practical which I could in some interesting way present not only the commission but also to family and friends. Therefore, I was inspired by my numerous cousins and decided to create a tablet application for them that would encourage them to read books. To avoid the problem of copyright related to the text about the content of fairy tales, I asked my aunt, Newsweek's journalist - Aleksandra Pawlicka. Written by her stories do not resemble fairy tales from present times where everything is happy and always ends well. Rather, they refer to the fairy tale of the Brothers Grimm or Christian Andersen.
Therefore, after reading them, my first idea was to refer to classic illustrations made with woodcut or copper engraving. Each of the illustrations has been previously planned in terms of both composition and animation. Drawings were made by hand with a thin-sheet, and then I transferred them to a computer and assembled them together.

When the illustration was ready I have to make a complete book. To marge tekst and drawings in old style and combine them with new influence I decided to ad another colour - blue. This exertions allowed me to smoothly go through text and has a positive effect for children who read it.

In addition to the illustrations themselves, the entire graphic design for the book along with the preparation for printing and a set of short animations created for the needs of the application have also been developed. Of course, the most work came out while designing and programming the application. Everything has been put together in Adobe Animate.
